I’m Panicking Over Boxes

How ridiculous is that?

Seriously.

I will just go ahead and admit: I’m a hoarder.

I justify my box hoarding as such: It is awesome to be able to pack things into their original boxes with the original packaging (styrofoam or corrugated forms) when you are moving! It puts me at ease knowing my TV, blu-ray, laptop, computer, and small kitchen appliances are traveling as they originally did on the truck to the store, or through the mail to my doorstep. It is also so much easier to find the things you are looking for when you get to your new place.

Do I plan on moving anytime soon? No. But, you never know. Especially when you are in my situation. I’m always nervous about my tenuous part-time employment.

I’ve lived in this particular rental house for almost four years now. I have only managed to do this through housing assistance.

Why I’m panicking? I have a housing re-inspection this week (in 2 days!!). I failed the first inspection almost 30 days ago, and was given 30 days to remedy the reasons for the failure. The empty boxes in the laundry/storage area are one of the issues I have to remedy.

I am having trouble bringing myself to do anything with the boxes! I can see ridding myself of the collection of Amazon boxes I’ve kept, and…
