It’s not easy at all!! I’m a single mom of 4, and 60% of my income comes from online teaching (more like 90% now that the college campus I tutored at is closed and for complicated reasons I’m getting paid a fraction of what I was making prior to the close).

Thankfully, our school district opted for optional vs mandatory e-learning. There’s no way I could handle their e-learning. They are all on IEPs and there has been virtually no consideration for that here with e-learning.

My ability to meet my work deadlines has suffered greatly! I do try to work from my bedroom with no distractions, but it never fails that as soon as I get set up to work someone needs something. And the house looks like a frat party because I can either work or keep them from destroying the house, not both. They are 14, 12, 10, and 9. So they should be able to fend for themselves an hour or two a day without trashing the place…
