When you have to keep going
The phrase, uttered by Dory in Finding Nemo becomes my daily, hourly mantra some days.
“Just Keep Swimming!”
Who am I kidding? Most days.
I have to keep going. I have no choice. I have four children that are counting on me.
Yes, dear reader, you are right that there is always a choice.
Giving up is a choice I am unwilling to make. Formally.
Informally, I give up so many times. Daily, and/or hourly.
Some days look like this:
I can do it!
I can definitely do it!
I can’t do this.
Yes, you can do it! You have to do it!
There is no one else who can do it for you.
I can’t possibly do this.
You HAVE to do it!
OK, I can do this.
Maybe.
Maybe tomorrow.
Tomorrow is my favorite word. Today is always too overwhelming. Tomorrow sounds better. Tomorrow I will feel better. Tomorrow I will find some motivation. Tomorrow is my day, folks! I can do it tomorrow.
